Unique hair colors and haircuts...?

Unique hair colors and haircuts...?

when i was all punk i used to have a short pixie cut. its cute, and you can spike up the back while having the front be all cute and girlie with a cute head wrap. i used to use manic panic, but it washed off fairly easy due to it being vegetable based. I then switched to Hot Topic brand Rage and i had both hot pink and fire red. i even changed them up by adding black chunks!

you can get crazy hair dye [by the way its spelt D-Y-E] at hot topics. most hot topics SHOULD have them. depends which one you go to. hot topics are at almost every mall[if there's a claires there has to be a hot topic]

there are many different varieties. i colored mine napalm orange and turquoise for example. or you can just go to hottopic.com to look at them

Like other commenters have said, it's true that Hot Topic is pretty much the place to find alternative dyes. However, the brand of dye that you should use is Special Effects (which is sold at Hot Topic). Special Effects lasts a lot longer than the other major brands, such as Manic Panic.

You don't have to limit yourself to Hot Topic stores though. It sells for about 15 dollars at Hot Topic and for about 8 dollars online. A website that I recommend you buy it from is Amphigory.com. The site is pretty good because for each dye color it also shows many pictures of people with their hair dyed the specific colors (so it's easier to choose the dye you want). It also includes comments from the people who dyed their hair those colors.

While I'm on the subject of dye, you're going to have to bleach you hair to get it an "alternative" color. I recommend Loreal Quick Blue because it works pretty nicely for me (and as I've heard, it works well for other people as well). If you have darker hair, like brown or black, you should buy 30 vol. bleach. For lighter hair you should buy 20 vol. bleach.

As for the cut, I'm kind of a fan of the angled, layered cut. It was seen with Victoria Beckham's hair where her hair was in the shape of an inverted V. I had that cut for awhile and it was pretty awesome. Basically, the scene look pretty much consists of layers with short hair.
