How do i make my hair FLAT?

I NEED HELP.

I just cut my hair yesterday (pixie-like cut with emo bands! LOVE IT!) ...and it's kinda "poofy"... how do i make it lay flat against my head???

I need some inexpensive product suggestions... that won't make my hair all greasy... (i would straighten it but it's too short to fit in the straightener...)

Okay first try and buy some kind of hair serum, You put this on while your hairs damp, And when you wash your hair make sure you properly get to your roots with the shampoo prober scrub at them, This helps your hair to lye flatter, Also hair spray, Hold your hair down and spray at the roots.
